New to LS1 and need help/advise Hi everyone, I recently decided to take a jump on the LS band wagon!
I have a 2000 aluminum ls1 with t56 computer and harness I got for cheap.... I know I could just go waith a old school trans and be fine but I don't want that. I'm trying to get everything ready to do the swap into my 94 Silverado. I thought I had it all figured out till I hit a road block.... I was going to use my current 4l60e that's in the truck now till I had someone tell me it won't work, when I asked why I never got an answer. So today I called painless wiring and they told me it wouldn't because the servos and front pump is different and I would need a 99+ 4l60e!!! Now is this the case or is it a load of crap? Also I'm trying to figure out what motor mount adapters that get that will work. From what I've seen there is like 5 different ones! Any advice on this (with a jegs/summit link) would be awesome.
