Default Help picking boosted ls combo for street please

I know this question has been asked a million times, and I've done some searching checking out combos, but I wanted to see what y'all think is best for my application. I currently have a '93 LX 5.0 roller and since I just finished my '89 SBC S10 Blazer I want to get started on this now and I've never had an LS besides my 2010 Camaro and older Vette that came with them so pretty new to it. I'm wanting somewhere around 800-1000hp tops and I'd like to drive it frequently (to tracks and stuff), and I want quality parts but I do want to stay on some kind of budget. First off, I'm trying to decide if I want to go with a 5.3, 6.0, or 6.2 (I don't see that used much for some reason). Then I am wondering what kind of cubic inches I want that will go well with something like a single 76mm turbo or maybe twin 57mm's or something. When choosing the turbos the main things I want to consider are which way will be the cheapest while still using good turbos like Precision, Garrett, Turbonetics, etc. & I don't want any lag if possible. After I figure those out I need advice on which heads, cam, and other internals to use. The main thing I'm asking is what's a good c.i. to go with more than likely a single turbo setup and 5.3 or 6.0. I want to be as frugal as possible but I want a very good turbo and quality stuff. Thanks a bunch guys.

6.2 is not used much due to the prices have not come down yet. Being frugal, it looks like a 5.3 is in your future. They make great power with a single turbo. Personally I'd buy the biggest engine I could afford. You will be able to make more power with less boost. There are a ton of combos on here that work well. Good luck with your build.

Keep a watchful eye on sites like www.car-part.com , every once in a while a supercharged LS will pop up. That is how I found mine. LQ4, Magnacharger at a price similar to a basic 5.3 at the time.

6.0 bottom
Lsa heads
Ls3 intake
Custom grind from a vendor of your choice (LJMS, Tick, etc...)

For your turbo, do you wanna do T6 or T4?
