5.3l conversion wiring gauges

5.3l conversion wiring gauges Im in the middle of my 5.3l swap into a 99 tahoe.
Im just trying to see what everyone else has done to get the stock gauges to work.
I have the complete donor truck still . the tahoe has the 5.3l and tranny from an '01 silverado. the computer from the 01 is flashed and got a wiring harness from painless.
Do I need to run 2 sensors one for each computer or how does that work
Any extra info or anything needed just let me know

Use the oil sender from the Tahoe,you will need an adapter,drill and tap the other head for the water sender from the Tahoe,tach,fuel guage,speedo will all run off the reflashed PCM.

Right on ... i have the water sender all figured out ... just to confirm for the oil sender i just need to remove the 5.3l sender and replace it with the 5.7l sender with adapter

Yes. Adapter and old 5.7 oil sender. You can also use an f body temp sender that way you only have one sender in the stock location. They say the temp gauge won't be accurate but I don't notice a big enough difference to even worry about.
