Chevy Luv 4.8L Running Issues
IAT- should be ambient
ECT- needs to read engine temperature
Throttle position sensor- should move steady with the throttle pedel.
MAP- should be maxed out at close to 100 kpa.
Start engine-
Check 02 sensor voltages- after it goes into closed loop (takesa few minutes of run time and probably 143° coolant temperature) the O2 sensor voltages should alternate between rich and lean. Look at both bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1.
Check MAF frequency- should be somewhat stable without any major spikes
Check short term (STFT) and long term (LTFT) fuel trims. Should be within +/-5.
See if anything looks odd there.
