Default 2000 formula swap

I have a 2000 formula that use to have a ls1 in it and I'm wanting to put a vortec 5.3 in it. I'm new to swaps and my questions are what will I have to do for the harness? Do I just take everything from the donor car and swap it to my formula or will I need adapters, so that all my lights and stuff work too? And I think the motor mounts are the same? If anybody has done this and has pictures or anything I would really appreciate it thanks.

Not much of a swap. More of a remove and replace

Do you still have the ls1 wiring harness? You will need a car intake, Fbody oil pan and Fbody front end accessories. Otherwise it will drop right in using all the same mounts.
