Default ls1 or 6.0

Ive got an ls1 from a camaro project that fell though. My question is should I keep it and put it in my 97 c1500 or sell it and get a 6.0 iron block. Truck has 5.3 in it now so the hard part is done. Will never turbo this engine but will add a150 shot. The 5.3 has the xr269hr cam that I can reuse.

I'm by no means an expert, but I would think since it's a truck (and weight is not that as much of an issue), I would go with the iron block 6.0. You should be able to bore it out a bit too. This will also allow you to use L92 heads (which you can't do on the LS1). You could get an EASY 450hp out of it (esp if you bore it out a bit). If you are going to being adding Nitrous, I would definitely go the iron block route.

The only disadvantage is that it weighs about 80lbs more (IIRC), but on a 6000lb truck, I don't think that is doing to make or brake you, considering you will be able to make gobs more HP for not that much more $$$$.
