Default LQ9 mod help

Picked up an lq9 for my fox. Going to throw an ls6 intake on it with some Kooks LT's. I have a set of untouched 243s in my garage to use as well. Trans is going to be a turbo 350 with unknown stall at this point. My questions are.....

Are the stock 243s worth it over the 317s for my "mild" mods?

Whats a good cam choice for my mod list? I plan on choosing converter based on cam choice.

Been looking at Ticks SNS cam. I've been searching but looking for advice!

The 243 heads flow the same as the 317's. The chamber is smaller on the 243's which will effectively raise your compression ratio a bit. This will yield a little more torque and horsepower. Is it worth the swap?? If you already have them sure, if not plenty of people make power with the lower compression of the 317's. You have a lq9 so you have true flat tops already yielding more compression than the lq4.

Yes I would chose the 243's over the 317s.. They are better flowing and have smalled chambers which bumps the compression up.

243s and 317s have the exact same ports, so they are not better flowing. The only difference is the smaller chambers on the 243s will bump up compression.
