Pinging @ WOT My Porsche 914/LS1 is an occasional weekend driver, and yesterday I noticed for the first time, it would start pinging at WOT. It never did that before. Under load in 6th gear, half throttle, it doesn't ping. Same tank of gas, coolant temps normal, no DTC's. What do you guys suggest I look at first to chase down this problem?

old thread, but my 2002 Camaro SS just started pinging about 4K rpms. no codes, 91 octane non ethonal premium. mostly stock, slp lid, slp loudmouth exhaust.
i looked at the TB and there is a light coat of oil on it.
if i add a catch can, would that help with the pinging?
