24x or 58x help
24x or 58x help I apologize if I missed an easy answer but after searching many places I can't find a real answer. I bought a 07 4.8 out of a Uhaul truck that was low mileage. The crank sensor was t g e only thing missing so I can't tell if it is 24x or 58x. I have also read 24x was in classic style trucks in 07 and 58x in nnbs trucks. Being the uhaul was a classic font end would it be 24x? Is there a way to tell without the sensor?

There's a lot of ways to tell those truck engines apart. If its a GenIII it will have a 3 bolt throttle nody and the older s tyle PCM, the GenIV that was in the nnbs trucks will have the newer small ECM and a 4 bolt throttle body. My question is, how does a 2007 U-Haul truck have low miles?

It was only 82k miles which is low mileage mainly because the other 3 they were selling were well over 100k
also, it's a 4 bolt dbw throttle body motor. I just found that some nbs trucks were dbw and still 24x. If that is 24x, this just madey day.
