Default f-body engine removal question. need opinions!

I know what works for me and how I have done things, but what is the easiest way for you to remove an engine from f-body Camaro or Trans Am? Just would like some opinions to settle an argument

I've only ever done it through the top. Install and removal. Wouldn't do it any other way

Through the top by far is the easiest. I even do it with the trans still attached. Works very well. I'd just snag a QTP lift plate to lift from.

I use a chain from the front to the back and just turn it sideways to get it in and out

I have never removed it from the top, but I've dropped it out of the bottom twice and it was pretty simple.

Bottom three times for me, once you do it the first time the next time is a lot easer. I don’t like the idea of having to pull the heads first and then install the heads once the engine is back in.

I've pulled my long block and installed my long block through the top. You don't have to pull the heads

Interesting ..like maroonls1z pointed out.. all I have heard is the from the bottom is easier. . Good to know out the top is a good way... any one try both ways ,found one way better then the other?.. I don't like the idea of raising the front that high to get it out from the bottom. (No lift for me to use)

If you have a lift from the bottom, no lift from the top. Mine it don't matter I have no cowl and can have the engine out in less then 2 hours.

I think out the bottom is insanity but to each his own. Out the top is quick without brake lines or steering to eff with. The only reason GM started this out the bottom bs is it get people bk to the dealers. It scares a bunch of hobbyists off.
