New guy with lots of questions Hey im new to the forums and have been lurking and reading alot in the last few weeks.
I was wondering how hard it would be to swap a complete 2001 5.3 4l60e 4x4 with transferscase and all the wiring computer everything into my 1996 f250 crew cab that blew up the e4od i dont like the 460 and only purchased the truck because of my love for obs crew cabs

My biggest issue would be the gauges and wiring I can build the mounts pretty easily would I be better off going stand alone harness or just using the stock harness? My dad has been a mechanic for the last 35 years and has done the wiring harnesses on a couple swaps helping friends before so he will be helping me
On the transfercase how would I wire that in if it's electric not manual or do they make a manual transfercase I could pick up?

Swapping the transfer case out to an NP241 manual would be your best option. Personally I would look into a 3/4 ton drivetrain setup rather then dropping in a 1/2 ton setup into that big truck.
