Default Speed density tune and hard start

I have a Speed Density tune on my 85 Monte Carlo with all l92 / 4l80E transmission and DBW with a psi conversion harness. The car turns over runs for a second and dies for about 8 times than runs. This mainly happens right after the battery is reconnected.

Problem is it did not do this prior to the harness swap. We ended up putting more grounds on the harness and seems to helped let it run but still running and dying plenty of times before running for good.

just wanted to know about others with speed density if they had similar symptoms and what did they do to resolve it. The tuner that did my computer pretty much said any time the battery is disconnected the speed density needs to relearn so it would take one or two times for a to run at a steady idle but I don't believe it should be 8-10 + times before it runs and Idles

That's a bunch of crap about having to relearn. I'm sd tuned and have disconnected the battery plenty of times and it cranks first try.
If it didn't do it prior to the harness swap, must be something missing or loose connection.

Yea I dunno. My old harness was a shotty harness modded by current performance and it still fired up just fine. The psi harness is brand new and they said check grounds. Which we did than added more just to do so.

This car has fought with me tooth and nail in every aspect of this swap. ....I am beyond frustrated

Same here. It does seem to idle a little higher after a battery drain or disconnect but only for a few seconds.

Sounds like not enough start-up initial airflow. Will it run if you pedal it a little?

I believe he tried doing that as well with same results.
