LS3 into a 2006 solstice / Electrical

pjaf, I'm considering buying a Solstice. If I do, I will do an LS swap down the road. I have a few questions if you don't mind.
1) Did you have to cut your trans tunnel to get the 6L80e in there? If so, is it noticeable?
2) Is there a major difference in the swap of I start with a base model vs a GXP? I'm thinking the suspension might be heavier duty in the GXP.
3) How is the handling with the LS in there?
4) How wide of a rear tire can you fit in there?

The 6l80 fits wit no cutting of the tunnel. It is a 4x4 trans with a homemade plate on the rear and homemade rear mount. The GXP has larger sway bars and a 3.73 rear as opposed to a 3.91 in the base. However my 2007 came wit a e67 and the GXP uses a Bosch ecm. It handles very well with the aftermarket coil overs that came with the car. My car has 275/35zr19 tires on the rear

Hey Pjaf...saw your post on willing to help with answering questions on a Solstice swap. I am contemplating same with an LS2 into an 07. Looking for advice on the electrical end. Are you using the e67 or have you gone standalone?

Rathouse, my car uses a e67 with a custom os developed by Ken Kelley of the LSEDIT fame. There is a couple of shops selling the harness and ecm. I have a little knowledge about how this all works.pm me if you want to hear more Thanks
