I have a 5.3/T56 swapped into my 1998 F150 and would like to purchase an aftermarket speedometer gauge that will work with the T56 without adapters. Is there such an animal?
I went with Livorsi gauges. They are CAN bus gauges with a GPS speedo. The speedo updates 10x a second so it should always be on track. You can pretty much do an all in one gauge as my speedo (and tach) has a display window that shows all engine sensors.
Any reason you dont want to use the factory gauges? You should be able use a Dakota digital pulse changer. Your cluster should be 8000ppm, the GM is 4000ppm.
