Its been awhile since an update.I recently changed the 7.5 rear end out for a 8.8 5 lug
Team z street beast uppers and lowers, also installed torque box reinforcements
Ran the fuel and finished the wiring.got to hear it run and idle, now I just need a few things to drive it..
Serpentine belt
(Driveshaft will be here on thursday)
Shifter and a few gauges

Got to test drive the car tonight,I have to work out a few bugs.however it is very mean considering motor is mostly stock. Since my last update I have gotten subframe connectors, strange adjustables(rear) lokar throttle cable"which works great" lokar trans dipstick.plus a bunch of ins and odds.. but it runs great plus the new rear end has 4.10 gears so its pretty peppy.just wanted to give an update of things.

Ill try to take some today or tomorrow.I had to take the ms3 cam out because it was too big and actually made my car slower.I now have a z06 cam for the mean time until I upgrade..

Sorry it took so long to reply. I'm running a 3500 stall converter, on a 28x9-15 inch slick. I'm at like 3200 at 60 maybe 65ish but if your wanting a trans brake then go with a 400th over the 350th.. I'm running these sanderson block huggers, but there shortys /: however I paid 75 bucks for them, so I can't complain.. I just ran a 11.9 on basically a stock motor that needs tuned..

thanks for the reply! info is appreciated...i now have a 6.0, gonna use a 400 but not 100% sure on brake,,as i do alot of street driving..and i'm told a brake has alot of line pressure that is hard on pump so idk...your et's are really good! i also have 4.10s..i'm just looking for a 10 sec timeslip on my street driven car...hopefully without any power adders..we will see..thx again!!

trans brake isn't always necessary. I leave off idle, mid 130 60's. can be done. Shouldn't have a problem running 10's with a 6.0 na.

I use stock f body fans now for over 12 years and f body rad. cheap and easy.

Yeah my 60ft was a 1.67, however on the brake it only stalls up to 2200rpms for some reason. I just ordered long tubes but I'm thinking about going to a smaller converter like a 3000 or so.. I'm most likely gonna upgrade to a 6.0 over the winter my self. Bowtieford knows a bit more about this than I do.. he walked me through a few things on my car!!

I'd love to see a 1.35 60ft.. hopefully when I upgrade to a 6.0 I could drop my 60ft down to Atleast a 1.5.. are you spraying off of the line bowtie?

yes I hit from the start. I use a 4000 Circle D triple disc lock up. I have overdrive. One of the most street friendly converters I have owned. 350 400 trans I would keep 3200 3600 range if you do a lot of street driving and if you do then I would have a fan on the trans cooler also. heat is a trans worst enemy.

def spend the money on a good converter. cheap converter can stall easily at a desired rpm, but it will slip so much cruising and on the top end you will be loosing mph. Your better converters will have a good stall but still offer good cruise and top end not slipping so much.

Yes im pretty sure youll need a custom length driveshaft, while your at it have them upgrade the u joints to 1350,s.. I don't believe that the 400th is a slip yoke, you might have to get one made for it if you wanted a slip yoke..
