LS swap question
Can I use any year T56 or does it have to be a specific for the swap?
What style heads came on the 2000 5.3 ( lm7 ) cathedral port?
Should I use dbw or dbc ? I havent seen the motor yet so i do not know what is has but whats easiest for the swap ? I will have to find a computer to match too right?

Should be cathedral port heads.
It will probably DBC. It is easiest to just use what you have and rework the harness yourself if you can...
Computers can be found for reasonable cost. Try to get wiring harness and computer from donor vehicle if you can..
Edit: Forgot to ad you can also use the GTO trans as well...

Here is a list of what I have left to at least get the car running and driveable
AJE Suspension 1119
PSI harness 519
PSI flashed ECU 200
T56 - 1500 hopefully or less
I need a steering rack, oem 120. Do i have to hook power steering lines to that or can I use it as a manual vs buying a expensive aftermarket manual one ?
Then I will need to figure out the driveshaft $??
Clutch, flywheel, pp, cable ?
So looks like 4 grand roughly before i can even get it driving
Not sure how these writeups say 1500 or less ls swap. Prices must have been a lot cheaper a couple years ago for these motors and trans.
