As rpturbo already said, you need to sit down and do your research. An S10 swap isnt as easy as you would think. There is very little space to deal with.
Some of the bigger obstacles are:
Notch front xmember for oil pan & A/C
Motor Mounts
Drivers side exhaust, steering shaft, brake booster clearance
Trans cross member
Brake upgrade (stock brakes are trash)
Rear end upgrade (traction = destruction)
Traction (caltracs OR 3 or 4 link)
Maintain decent engine temp (liter bike fans work well if you can't fit a shroud)
There are plenty of solutions, walk arounds...etc on all the issues on this site and numerous others.

I'll take the bad news one step further and tell you a 6.0 didn't come stock in an '04 GTO... do some research, there's no one way for the swap. Actually, Google search "s10forum LSX Conversion Information", there's a pretty comprehensive thread with where and what to buy. But there are tons of variables.
