Finding an LQ9.... prices I tried to do a search but results are 3-5 years old so I'm sure some things have changed since then.
How much are you guys paying for complete LQ9? Around here they are all going for around $2500 ($3500 with 4L60E)
A few years ago you guys were posting they were going for only around $1200

Unfortunately sellers realize the higher output LQ9 fetches a premium. I got a low mileage complete takeout about 5 years ago for under $2k. But I don't see many in that price range now.
If an ebay auction for one expires unsold, you might try emailing the seller with a lowball offer. I bough a couple motors that way.

There are occasional "deals" on ebay where you can score a nice low mileage setup for $2k with harness and accessories. I have found that the 6.0 is a lot more difficult to source locally in junkyards than the 5.3 is here, but have you checked your local junk yards? It seems like a lot of the ebay sellers do a bit better job of doing a clean pull and keeping things together than the junkyard here does too though so that is a consideration. Are you stuck on the 6.0 opposed the 5.3? You can get a pretty good savings going to the 5.3. In the local junkyard they're still selling 5.3's for $800.
