One week after finishing a two year build on a M62B44 (540i V8) into an E30 318iS I walked into a shop to buy a roll cage for it. In the shop was a LS1 E30 M3. Long story short I now own one of my all time favorite cars with the best engine on the planet. The car is a work in progress, but everything done thus far is top notch. Basically just needs wiring, plumbing, a little paint, and the interior back in. I've had a lot of fun giving BMW purists aneurysms thus far and plan on having more fun with it on the track. The only thing I am worried about is the biggest tire I can fit in the back is a 235 without major modifications.
