Default Aeromotive Stealth 18688 setup?

Has anyone used this? I tried searching and only came up with this

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...nsidering.html

I would prefer to use my stock tank and sending unit over replacing it.

thanks, rich.

I started to go that route... Cleaned up my stock tank, cut the hole and then....decided to buy a Tanks Inc EFI tank. The stock tank was just too sketchy. I wasn't comfortable with it and if I was going to replace it, I was going to use the Aeromotive kit that's made for the Tanks EFI tank. Frickin perfect. Both kits are amazing. Aeromotives fuel tanks are Tanks Inc tanks they buy from them and resell with their kit in it.

The only thing I'll tell you is to completely empty your tank and spend plenty of time cleaning out the metal bits once you're done.

makes a clean install but might as well save a few hundred and rig that **** up. No ones gonna see it anyway, lol. im sure you dont need a blueprint but here is a quick rundown in case. cut a section out top (leave sending unit where it was so that will work same as before) add a baffle, drill a few holes in a plate that will cover hole, one for feed, one for return and one for a piece of all thread that youll have your pump(s) clamped to. oh and a shitload more holes for mounting. add a frame rail underneath too. bigger vent to and 2 wire bulkhead also. ect... maybe 500 isnt so bad, lol.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I just may go ahead and buy the whole aeromotive/tanks route. For a few more bucks it will be done right.

Hey! I started that thread! Cool!

So, I installed this and am very happy with it. I've run the tank well below 1/4 and have hammered the car pretty hard both in corners and a straight line and have yet to have a starvation issue. Installation was pretty straightforward. This post sucks without pics. I'm going to see if I have any and I'll update this thread if I do. I should update the other one as well.

I couldn't find any pics I took while installing the pump, but here's a good video of the process.

I did need to cut a hole in my trunk and make a raised cover plate to clear it.....I guess that's the only major drawback to this system in a stock tank. You could probably space the tank down to solve this problem too, but I didn't want to do that.
