You are correct in that an Fbody would be cheaper, but then everyone would expect a fast Fbody or Corvette. But a standard Impreza...

I was in your same posistion last year. My impreza spun a bearing and I wanted a turbo, v8, RWD impreza. There's a handful of us with finished cars and projects like mine. An LSX fits but there's considerable fab work to make it work unless you intend to buy the swap kit.
