LY2 and 6l80e ecm harness
LY2 and 6l80e ecm harness I just picked up a 2007 LY2 4.8 Engine (block number 12576177) with an 6L80e trans from a friend , but it is missing the ecm and the wiring harness was cut right before the ecm so missing everything that connects right before the ecm and also no pedal.
my question is, can i use an ly6 harness for the LY2 engine. And if it works can the ly6 harness for an 4l80e be altered to make it work for a 6l80e?
also what pedal do i need for this application? does it have to be a vortec truck pedal or could i use one from a corvette?
do i also need the vin to match both tranny and ecm to make it run? cause my friend doesnt have the vin, or could i send off the TCM where i buy the ecm for them to program both together?
