throttle problems

throttle problems hello,
So im geting really close to finishing my 70 lemans ls1/t56 swap. Got the car started and idling over the weekend. engine and trans cam from 2002 z28. The car doesnt have any exhaust past he mid length headers and the o2 sensors are plugged into the collectors right behind the header. I am using the drive by cable throttle. My question is this: when i give the car any throttle it sort of bogs down and seems to almost stop running. could this be from a dirt or clogged maf? I tried disconnecting the MAF and starting to car to pop the code. I then deleted the code and replugged in the MAF. No code showed up and I still have the throttle problem. the throttle body itself hasnt been adjusted or tampered with since it came out of the running z28. Any help is much appreciated.

I had a similar problem before I had mine tuned, but I changed cam, heads, injectors. I believe it could be your O2 sensors as someone else mentioned. With no pipe after the headers fresh air could be reaching the O2's causing the AFR to go rich. Are you seeing black smoke? Try putting some pipe on the end of the headers to see if it cleans up.
