F-Body Alternator Relocation - What Are You Using?
I have a turbo Mustang with flipped truck manifolds and a stock placement F-body alternator (AD244). I just fried my 2nd alternator and by fried I mean literally cooked it. It is just way too close to the manifold/crossover and even though the crossover is wrapped, I am sure the 1500+* radiant heat from the manifold is too much.
I need to relocate the alternator with a high mount and have a preference for it staying on the drivers side. I am using a Katech tensioner because I kept throwing belts and want to keep it. I've done some research but would like to know what other kits are out there and better yet, see what folks are using and get their opinions.
Thanks,

That looks like a sturdy piece, albeit a little bulky, but I supposed nothing compares to the stealthy look of the OEM low mount.
I was also looking at this one:

Gonna have to look into wrapping the exhaust manifold and find some way of heat shielding the alternator or put it up high on the pass-side which would lose the Katech tensioner.
Here is a pic of that shows the issue.
