Loading a 2002 OS into a 03-04 PCM results are unpredictable. Even though it has the adequate memory space, it may not work. Why not use the later van harnesses if you already have them and use a 411 PCM with the early OS. Junk yard 411's go for about $30, cheaper than a custom OS and having to replace both 03/04 ECU after you find that it does not work. The van 03/04 pinout is the same as 99-02 f-body. If I recall correctly, later 05-up 02 sensor heaters were controlled via the PCM rather than being grounded in the harness and running the heaters constantly.

aknovaman - we are going to be running Speed Density , and tuned with EFI Live
It is EFI live that says to use the 2002 tune, then over write that with the COS files
we have not gone down that road yet so I am just repeating what I read.
on our play truck ( 2002 2500 chevy truck) - we over wrote the entire tow haul tune for a very aggressive motor and trans tune for truck pulling, and normal driving was a lean cruise tune for substantially increased mileage
we are hoping to do the same with the two twin turbo projects we are building at the moment - tow haul for the crazy tune, and regular tune for valet style driving

I did not say that we had already done that - my efi live guy is saying we have to do that
dont confuse my statement of our play truck having two tunes on its original pcm tune , and what we need to do for the turbo motors - two totally different setups

Hey guys was just wondering on this blue pin idea ... I am in the proccess of doing a 01 lq4 swap into my 97 silverado , iv gotten the engine mounted and everything just down to little things ... anyways on the tow haul , can I use the 01 column shifter button in my truck ... iv already gotten it mounted and physically working perfectly fine to change gears but was wondering if I could use 1 wire to pin the 71 slot and the other wire to a good ground ... would that work?

Hey guys I'm having trouble with the tow/ haul mode in my 98 k1500 with the 0411 swapped in my tuner enabled the ( one switch ) and it worked for the longest time. I had him retune the 411 for efan and he double checked to make sure One Switch was enabled still but now it doesn't work. Pin blue 71 is receiving a momentary ground when I push the button, checked with DMM, we even tried 2 other 0411 and it still doesn't work. Any ideas would be great, I saw earlier in this post where someone mentioned new operating system makes it harder to get this to work? He's using the old tuner cats system to do all his 0411 tunes if that info helps.
