upgrade issues
Working on a 2003 Sierra 1500HD 6.0 (lq4)
This weekend I Installed a new Brian Tooley stage II truck cam, timing chain, oil pump, water pump, lifters, push rods, valve springs and all the supporting gaskets. I was going to install a tbss intake, throttle body, fuel rails and injectors but due to fuel piping I had to reinstall the original intake and TB.
So everything went great and it runs, I just have one issue I'm hoping someone can help with. It idles good and drives good but when I stop at a light it dies..... it starts right back up and again idles good even in gear but dies every time I stop.
Anyone have insight into this? I should add that the PCV hose has an adapter hose that was rotting so I replaced it and I broke the fuel pressure regulator hose but "repaired/temp fixed" it.

I'm assuming that is a handheld, correct? Those won't help you for a cam swap as they are typically designed for stock or close to stock vehicles.
I can't stress enough the tune is everything. Part of what makes fuel injected engines work so well is the flexibility you simply can't get with a carburetor and distributor.

thank's gofastclass, I contacted blackbear about a tune and yes the banks is a hand held. I think I'll remove the tune and see what happens.
