Silverado LS swap Hello everyone! I'm gonna make it short and sweet here. I have an 05 Silverado single cab, swb, with a 4.3 ☹ everyone knows where this is going now lol. I want a V8! It seems like a pretty big job to tackle and I don't have the know how or place to do it. Can anyone recommend a reputable shop or perso in Arkansas or surrounding area that could handle a job like this? Thanks in advance
It would be much cheaper to sell that truck and buy one of the millions that already have a V8 from the factory. To have a shop do it plus the cost of the engine/wiring and misc parts would be several thousand dollars.
I agree,it is the easiest and most straightforward swap after all the pieces are gathered from a donor truck,but even if you can do it yourself its just barely worthwhile.Sell your V6 truck to grandpa down the road and buy one already built,easier and usually cheaper at the end of the day.
