Default lq4 swap into 70 nova

Bought my first lq4 the other day. Have a few questions to get it ready to swap into my car. What all on the front can I remove? The egr behind tb is already gone, the fan is taken off now lol, but there's a weird canister thing connected to the passenger side exhaust can that be taken off? Secondly what are the only sensors/functions needed for the motor to run properly?

Thanks in advance guys, this is my first swap

There is more that you need to keep in the wire harness than you take out.

Lt1swap.com is essentially the guiding light for wiring harness information.
Print off the pinouts, buy a Haynes repair manual for the vehicle that your engine came out of. Essentially everything that is emissions related can be pulled.

Building your own harness is one of the most valuable projects you can do for yourself. You learn so much about how the fuel injection works.
