Default Griffin radiator fitment? 69 Firebird

Anyone using this Griffin radiator in a 69 Firebird (or Camaro)? The donor rad was toast and tossed months ago and I want to go with a 2 pass to keep the inlet/outlet on pass side.

http://www.griffinrad.com/load_detai...p_Engine=26.24 x 18.63&select_Sub_Group_Transmission=TOC&key_id=8-70009-LS

I got a 4L60E and maybe I'm an idiot, but aren't the trans lines to the rad on the pass side? Aren't those the trans line connections in the Griffin pic on the drivers side? Plus what is an "early LS1", I have a 2002 LS1.

If anyone has a recommend other than the Griffin that's reasonably priced (the Griffin is $370 on Amazon) I'm always ready for advice

Thanks!

Lots of Datsun swaps have good luck with Champion radiators. They seem to make a range of units for your car

For what that costs call up superior radiator in Michigan and get one from them for the same price, made to fit and it comes with dual e fans.

I'll look into those options. I don't really need the fans, I was able to salvage them from the donor. Thanks!

I went with the 98-02 F-body rad and fans. I think I'm $250ish all in.

I did the same as Sprech. I got the fans from the donor, scored an SLP 98-02 F-body radiator brand new for $150 and modified the core support to mount it. This way you can use stock F-body radiator hoses and the fans clip right in. If you haven't already bough your radiator, seriously consider this option.
