Noid?

See lot of guys say using "noid" to check electrical things. Could some one explain what "Noid" is.

Noid light

Use a noid light to check for electrical signal at the injectors. You can buy a box of them to fit different injector plugs for under $20. They will act quick enough to tell if the injector is getting the proper signal. If you are just upgrading to fuel injection, welcome and sell your timing light, dwell meter and carb sync stuff to pay for the new tools like noid light, scan tool and metric tools!

Actually, I wouldn't sell off the timing light. Even on EFI it can be handy to check ignition synch with standalone ecu to make sure what's commanded is what you get.
