LT1/L83 into something eventually
Without BCM you will not be able to have those functions. The BCM creates the message from button on the steering wheel. That message is shot to the ECU over the secure can bus network to tell the ECU to do the selected action. The gen 3 engines for the most part used simple analog ground signals instead. I work for a company that does these conversions and that is about as much as I can say. We have a module interface to make all this work.
