Default DBW Pedal Mounting

Anybody have luck mounting GM part # 25835421 (believe it's a Corvette pedal)? I got it with my Speartech wiring harness and looked at it compared to where my stock pedal was mounted. As expected, it doesn't line up with the stock mounting location (I figured that would be the case, no biggie). But, this pedal is pretty large (long) and curves to the right a good amount. I was wondering if any vendors/places might sell a bracket that can be used to mount this (I have a '72 Chevelle).

Other option would be for me to find another pedal assembly that I've seen brackets for (like GM part# 10379038 or another model). I'm just not sure if I'd have to recalibrate the ECM that came with my Speartech harness.

Here's a link to the pedal I have:

I used the 25835421 pedal on my 1970 GTO. Look in my build thread. There are no direct fit pedals for this swap.

Yah, knew there was no direct replacement. I'll check out your build thread (thanks for info).

Here's what I have been doing........probably better way's to get there but....this works for me as it gives the adjustability needed in a compromised mounting area......This is from the pedal supplied in GM's connect and cruise set-up........but.......I have done all my swaps this same way........in the first picture you can see the adaptor plate made that get's welded to the pedal mount as supplied.....( I cut off some of the GM mounting tabs)......anyhow........the concept is to have three studs (I use 1/4-20 set screws which allow holding the screw with the allen wrench while tightening).....as you can see....the cardboard represents the Firewall (Which is not flat).......so...I drill three holes thru the firewall and have nylock nuts on the engine side........then there are three nuts to tighten against the firewall......do not tighten them as they will have to be inserted thru the adaptor plate on the pedal assy........get them in and then tighten them against the firewall......then you can use the nuts to adjust the pedal (up, down or sideways) and after getting it where you want it then tighten everything up and you are finished.........(use Lock washers)........Mickey Mouse but it works.......

My setup is somewhat similar to what Ken described, with one addition - I had to do some "customizing" (using a BFH) at the top of where the pedal mounts so that the pedal would be at approximately the correct angle. (I had to push the metal "back" toward the engine a bit.) Once the metal was roughly where it needed to be, I used threaded rod + "nylocks" to fine-tune the pedal's position.

Now that I've done that, the pedal looks like it came from the factory in my car.

Got any pics by chance?

I'll have to track down my camera (haven't used it in a while), but I can probably snap one or two later today...

My set-up is probably a lot different, but I took my original pedal and made a hard rod to connect it to the DBW module. I then mounted the DBW set-up on the firewall. When you push the gas pedal, it pushes back on the module arm.

Here are pictures of how I did mine. Usually you just have to start with some cardboard and scissors, and see what you can come up with. The DBW pedal has to be mounted about 4 inches higher, so I made a plate.

Great, thanks! That's probably what I'm leaning toward doing.

I used the Monte Carlo pedal as well, and as I recall, I used one of the original holes that help the old throttle pedal and then made another hole. Mounted directly to the firewall...
