Ca converts, tank interchangeability?

Ca converts, tank interchangeability? I was searching for this the other day and came up empty. For Ca conversions, its my understanding that you basically need an LS tank because of the sensors to get through the referee.
Does it matter which tank you use? For instance, would the computer recognize the difference between say an 02' 5.3 truck tank and an 02 vette/camaro tank? Or are the sensors the same?

The tank from the car the engine came from. Ldp pumps run different durations for various size tanks. Buy an eRod LS3 and get around all of it, it's the easiest way to cert an LS motor conversion in Ca. ERod, about 6700, comes with c.a.r.b paperwork.

There's also several ways of adapting a newer style sending unit with all of the required sensors in to an older tank instead of trying to fit a newer tank in an older vehicle it wasn't meant for. Check this thread out starting at post 204 and more the next page

It's for a square body truck but you could use the same method for any vehicle. This is what I was going to do for my CA legal swap but I found a diesel K5 to build instead...
