How to ID Pedal compatibility
My ECM is #12200411 - from what I understand its from a 2002 GMC Sierra 5.3L
My TAC is # 12571991 - based on what I can see, it should be a match. Someone point me where I can know for sure. It uses connector number 15318071 for the TAC to pedal wiring.
My pedal has no markings. It has a bar code that does not show anything when entered on the internet. It also uses connector number 15318071 from what I can tell. Attached are pedal pictures.
How do I know if this is all compatible? I've read so many conflicting things on TAC and Pedals and want to know if I need to scrap what I have or if it should work.
The wiring connectors are from the TAC to pedal wiring harness from EFIconnection.com for the 2002 truck configuration I thought I needed.
I picked up the pedal from eBay and seem to recall it was from a Corvette but I think I've read the pedal was the same in the Corvette and the truck for early drive by wire years. (I'm not sure if that means they worked the same or if the connectors are the same)
When my cable didn't fit, I got all confused and worried about compatibility because I don't know exactly what I have.
This link indicated trouble with the TAC that I have but I'm not sure if the problem was the TAC or the pedal? I think when I ordered it, I had read any TAC with the all plastic body would fit my application. I'm not sure if that's correct or not.

The obvious advice I get from everyone is to make sure the TB, pedal assembly and TAC are from the same year (Duh!) I don't have that luxury so I'm relying on someone who'd gone beyond the obvious and knows the inner workings and electronics of each.
I appreciate all the help.
Cabling from EFIConnection.com for truck - TAC to pedal.
Black connector from TAC to pedal wire plugs in to the TAC just fine but the grey connector doesn't.
Here you see the black connector also fitting the pedal assembly.
While many sites indicate the 2000-2002 truck pedal is interchangeable with the 1997-2004 Corvetee, the Delphi connectors on the truck is different which also represents a difference in wiring of the TAC-to-pedal harness.
Oreilly's lists Dornan part number 698-102 which is just the sensor part of the pedal for the truck.
So in my case, I can spend $60 at to change the pedal sensor or I can buy the black Delphi connector and repinning one end of my existing cable for $10.
Here are the differences in wiring between the truck and Corvette.
Now the only question is will my TAC work with this pedal?
