Should I buy this short block?
Should I buy this short block? 1993 s10 with a 98 corvette pcm stock ls1, I want to build an ls2 for it. I see that 2006+ ls engines no longer have the provision for the cam sensor behind intake (timing cover instead) and that they have the 58x reluctor wheel. I have learned that much. I can have my machine shop swap the reluctor wheels and crank sensor, but besides that, what will I have to do in order for my cam sensor to hook up to the 98 model harness. Thanks
Also what other hiccups will I run into going from a 98 ls1 to an ls2.
Ps: i know the 2005 ls2 has the 24x and rear cam sensor but i found a deal on an 08-09 ls2

You can extend the wires on your cam sensor plug and just use the stock LS2 timing conversation and sensor.
If you don't want to swap reluctant, Lingenfelter sells a conversion box that just plugs in and runs a 58x crank on a gen 3 ecu

Yeah I like lpe but id rather not have to rely on their box for the motor to run. Ok so 98 pcm/ecm all the plugs will plug into the cam sensor and crank sensor on 08-09 block. And with the 24x reluctor wheel and my stock plug into the ls2 cam sensor im good to go?
