hi all
last week i start my swap, and i think this winter will be funny
the car
1988 G20 5.7 TBi with TH700
made in Scarborough Van Plant Canada


the new engine




transmission 6L90 fom a CTS-V


and a lot of more funny stuff

the good TBI is history


i will save the big oil pan from the camaro and the axle frame will be boxed


first test and all fits



tomorrow i take the enginge out again and weld the boxing area
i will have a lot of question along the wintertime and i hope you can and will help the old man in Sweden

WOW, nice van you have there and welcome to the LS1tech.com forum. Keep us posted on how this goes with pics etc. Some members on this forum have that era Chevy vans and would like to do the same including me with a 1980 Chevy Nomad Van. Keep up the nice work. we will be watching this thread. Rich

after i was ready with boxing the engine frame



the engine is back in place




the big Camaro oil pan have now space enough
and now begins the funny part


the original GM harness is ready and done with all pin outs
next week i will wire up that stuff
and yes, a swap can be easy, but i don´ loke easy things.
the Van needs new instrumens, and i found the right stuff


thats a Cadillac CTS panel and that is why i bought a wiring harness for the interior.
BCM will also be mounted
