Swap my 350 to ls1 Hello, I have Ls1, 4.8, and want to put this in place of my 350 and 350 Trans! I have complete pcm with complete harness 4160E Trans all came off same 2004 Chevy trk, I want to erase everything possible to make it easier to install or should I just erase the VAT to get it going. I am putting this in old school 51 trk but I did change all my gauges (Dakota) so WHAT EXACLY DO I HAVE TO DO? Thx Dana, (new to forom)

swap 350 to my KS1, 4.8 w/4160E Trans ! just need to know can I use my aftermkt gauges and how much pcm stuff besides VAT I can eliminate to make my swap easiest as possible, going in 1951 Stude trk, Walk thru instructions would be great, because I don't know, thx Dana
You will be able to use your gauges, and as far as what to get rid of in the tune, VATS and emmissions stuff is the basics. Do a search on here and read up. There are TONS of threads on swapping engines here, but asking what exactly to do is probably not going to get you many replies due to the length the reply would be. You will get better responses by asking specific questions, but you probably wont know what to ask until you dig into it and get started, that's where reading other peoples build threads will be helpful. Good luck with it, you wont be disappointed with the swap when you're done. It will run and drive like a late model, which in an old car or truck is really nice. Also, throw up a couple pics of what you're working on, people like to see the pics!
