Another Where is my Ls1 from

Another Where is my Ls1 from Hi,
Happy New Year all.
I have got to give a year for my Ls1 engine.
I dont know where it came from but here is all i can find without removing gearbox etc:
On front of engine by water pump VF032900142 is etched.
I have no numbers by my oil filter like the majority of you.

It has LS1 heads 241 casting with K217 477 inscribed on them (Porters stamp??)
The block casting is 12561168....LS6 block with LS1 heads??
Any ideas if 2003 is right and what car would this have come from and did they have 241 heads or have these been put on it??
The PCM is not the original.

Sorry to bump this but should have started another thread.
With my block being potentially 2003, would this have been fitted with a standard ls1 timing chain or did they stop making these then and would have fitted LS2....?
Its an engine out for me...big job to change.
Should i be worried with ls1 chain 224r cam and pac1219 springs??

The LS2 came out after your engine was built. The LS2 chain is a direct replacement for your LS1 chain. If there are very many miles on your engine, a new LS2 chain would be cheap insurance.
