Default Wants to die after opening throttle

Hey all, after getting my PCM flashed and my OBD II port working I finally fired up my new LS swap. It fired as soon as I turned the key and idled beautifully, however it does have one issue.

After letting it warm up a bit I decided to give it some throttle. I revved it up slowly but when I let off the gas it struggled for a few seconds to idle almost dying and then it smoothed out and ran fine. I did this a couple times with the same result.

I was running open headers because I had to cut my existing exhaust to get the 4l80e in there. I plan on getting them reconnected asap. I think I might just get a small length of pipe so I dont burn up my 02 sensors.

Any ideas on this one?

Check your fuel pressure at the rail.

Get your car together first than see if you still have an issue.

Possibly needs some IAC tuning or might need to crack the throttle blade a little, if it is a cable operated TB.

Lots of my swaps and even the stock factory cars have a difficult time finding a high warm idle when just powered up. I just changed the battery in my '04 2500hd lq4 and it took 50 miles to learn an idle that didn't almost stall when coming off the throttle. All of the swaps have needed some time to find this zen, and changing batteries or disconnecting can bring some unwanted behavior.
