Exclamation Lq4 swap p0308

Yes I have used the search button, but I'm in need of some in depth answers.

The car idles fine but stumbles with load. I replaced the coil and putting my finger on the injector I can feel it pulse. Could it be a head gasket? My radiator is also spitting coolant out of the over flow hose but temps are only around 180? New plugs and wires in the last 1k miles also. Im going to rent a compression tester tomorrow, I just want to make sure im not missing anything.

Update other cylinders are between 140-150. Cylinder 8 is around 116-120. Whats my next step? Tear it down until i see a problem?

Did you test #8 wet and dry? If the compression gets a lot better with some WD in the cylinder then it's rings if it doesn't then it's a valve or as you stated your spewing coolant so it could very well be a head gasket.

That's where mine was cold, compression wise. I pulled the heads, cylinder walls look great, the valves had a carbon build up on the seats.

Thanks.
