Are you still working on this car?
what were the plans for an intercooler?

Steering is fine. Power steering pump touches the plastic guard over the end of the shaft but doesn't hurt anything.

Car is just about done. Intercooler is an eBay unit. I went with a tiny radiator and custom shroud, no pusher and no stock intake from the L98 helps clear up a lot of room.

I also cut out the cross beam in front of the engine and moved the radiator about an inch or two closer to the engine from stock position. Intercooler sits up against it. 2 into 1 design with top exit facing the engine.

I made a new brace that mounts on front side of frame just in front of intercooler, a few inches further forward than stock.

Have a link to the intercooler? What headers are you using? Any pics of it now?

Any pics of the intercooler or info on size? Trying to figure out what size I need. Procharger makes one that fits over the factory radiator but want $800-1200 just for the intercooler.
Placement seems to be the hardest part for a C4 considering there's not many options for air flow.

Intercooler I use is similar to this one:

They're $200 or less. Exits over top of radiator, and is a straight shot into the 5.3 truck throttle body with a piece of 3" intercooler pipe thats no more than a 12" long.

dont think there here will be cooling issues with it mounted in front of the radiator?

Joe Nova-Got my engine/tranny in yesterday but I haven't put the accessories on yet. Did you have to do anything special for the alternator to clear the hood?

As long as you're running the small alternator, it should clear. The large one might not. I did do a little grinding on mine just to be sure but I don't think its a problem.

I'll try to find part number for the lines I used. They worked without a hiccup.

Damn I've got a large case truck alt but hopefully it doesn't take much massaging to make it work.
Hows your C4 coming along? Any pics?
I was planning on using the truck manifolds.

Large case alternator-need to try a small case to see if it'll clear the hood.

To joenova-did you remember what lines you used?
I was able to get the truck bracket to fit by cutting the lower part off but I think the pressure switch on the pump is in the way-what did you do to remedy this?
Did your pump have the pressure switch? Did you have to change the piece out to compensate for the C4's lower pressure?
Any issues with just plugging the hydroboost line?

I didn't have a Hydroboost power steering pump.

I used a stock 99-02 truck feed line, and just bought 12" of hose from the local parts store for the return.

Small update: Decided to use an electric power steering pump so I can ditch the truck alt/ps setup. Alternator will have to be relocated but this will save a lot of room and headache.
