Ford 8.8 in S10 chassis

Ford 8.8 in S10 chassis 1960 Dodge D100 Utiline pickup, 2001 S10 chassis, 2009 LY6 and 4L80E.
Going with the 8.8 out of an Explorer and planned to shorten the long side but see now I could use the extra width with these fat fenders.
Trying to understand the drive angle ramifications if I use the 8.8 the way it is (pinion 2 7/8" offset towards the right).
Or should I just follow the plan and center it up and use some wheel spacers?

Ford 8.8 I'm running a stock 8.8 in the '39 with no problems. My thoughts are: Isn't that why driveshafts have universal joints? My driveshaft is about 6 feet long so the deflection is not much but wouldn't do it in a T-bucket.
