Where does the signal wire go on the starter?

Where does the signal wire go on the starter? I'm at the point where I'm troubleshooting. I have everything on the car ready to fire up (except for the fuel leak) but I'm leaving on vacation and don't have any more time to mess with it until I get back. I need to make sure that I have the starter connected correctly.
There are three posts on the solenoid. Which one of the bigger ones does the big wire from the battery go? Which one gets the signal wire from the key? What goes on the third post? Anything?

The one large post should already have a braided cable on it going down into the starter motor. Don't put anything else on that one.
The other large post should have nothing on it. That's where your battery cable goes.
The small terminal is for the wire from the key switch.
