Default Planning an LQ4 Swap

So, I'm looking for some advice. I'm planing an LQ4 Swap into my 64 Chevy II. The plan is a junk yard engine (don't have one yet) and L92 heads (already picked up a set due to a screaming deal). I'm real familiar with sbc's but decided to go LS for the obvious reasons.

The car is going to be a street car/driver that may see a road course or two in the future. I basically want a car that is a kick in the shorts to drive that's capable of whatever I throw at it.

It's my understanding that the L92 heads on an LQ4 give the engine a low compression ratio due to the combustion chamber. Is it better to go with a flat-top piston with valve reliefs, mill the heads, or can a head gasket do the trick? Is it better to get a custom cam spec'd out? Any place or brand preferred?

I'm keeping it fuel injected. Just starting to plan this beast out. Any help, advice, etc. will be greatly appreciated.

The stock l92 heads will raise the cr a bit over stock.
We have a nice torque cam for that setup, works with either auto or manual trans.
Our cam kits start at $515. we have all the gaskets, bolts, timing set, springs, oil pump youll need also!

I have a SBE LQ4 and L92's. I milled them .025 which brought the compression to ~10:1 It makes 450-460rwhp (based on 1/4mi ET and mph).
Put a decent cam in it and you won't be disappointed!

Nope. 231/247 @ 113 .617/.624 lift. 7.4 pr.
