low mount alt bracket in 71 chevelle options?
low mount alt bracket in 71 chevelle options? i have a 71 chevelle with truck accessories and the engine is sitting in the stock small block location. I'm looking to get rid of the truck alt bracket. i ditched the power steering and want to clean things up a bit. has anybody tried this bracket ? it looks really close according to their measurements with the big alternator.

or has anybody used this speedway bracket without PS? i found some pictures online and it doesn't look like the belt wraps the crank pulley too much. wondering if there is any belt slip/throwing issues. looks like a nice simple bracket

The ICT bracket will put the alternator right where the steering box is. I have used the Holley alternator bracket without the PS and it works great. You can use your truck alternator with it but it is the Corvette placement, up high on the driver's side. They also have spacers so it will work with your truck balancer spacing.
