In tank fuel pump I have LS 3 Crate engine in a 57 Chevy with a Ricks 22 gallon tank.
It started to make noise when I go on trips 75 to 100 mile.
It has a Walbro 255 lph pump.
What I want to know is the part number and or a replacement I can get at a parts store If I need one?
when it cools off it is ok again .

Noise with the Walbros is a pretty common complaint. I went with a DW300 (Deatchwerks) in tank for the LS3 in my car. Flawless performance for 5 years now - so quiet I can't even hear it prime from inside the car. And it should install just like the Walbro does. Food for thought.
The OEM external Bosch pump on mine would go noisy before failing - noise was the primary symptom that a problem was looming. But since many complain about the Walbros being noisy from the start - not sure what to tell you. If it was quiet once - and then gets noisy - that usually points to a problem at some point. But who knows...
