Alternator Wiring I've swapped a 6.0 into my 69 Camaro. everything seems to be working and car is running. My question on the alternator is this, I have a 1 wire truck harness and have a truck alternator. I used the original car harness alt wire to screw into the back of the alternator. but it has just hit me that I have done nothing with the 1 wire plug into the alternator. it just seems this isn't correct?? am I wrong? Thanks in advance.

The 1 wire plug needs to be in there to charge correctly.
Its usually easiest in most swaps to just run a 12v ignition source to the alternator with a 470 ohm 1/2 watt resistor between them. This will set the duty cycle on the alternator and give you ~14 volts.
