65 Riveria LS swap

Hi guys. Have a 65 Riveria want to do a LS swap with trans. Not looking for crazy speed just reliability and some go when I hit the gas. Should I look for a donor car and if so what year Vette. Or crate engine. Not looking to spend crazy money. Thanks for all the help

Sounds like a cool swap. Trucks are the best donors if you're on a budget.

I would look for a 6.0 from a truck. Good torque and decent HP. LQ4 or LQ9. LQ9 preferable. A little more power.

I've only seen 1 Gen 1 Rivvy with an LS Swap with a T-5 manual. I have a Gen 2 Rivvy that I'd love to do an LS swap in, but that x-frame is what's stopping me. I don't have the fabrication skills to conduct this swap.
