Did you ever get the info you were looking for? I have a 1971 Camaro as well and have an LQ4 with 4l60E. Trick flow heads, BTR Stage 3 Cam, WS6 intake and injectors, etc.
I bought the hooker HOK-12512HKR mounts and am not happy with the fact they require changing the lower mount and relocating. I would like an adapter that I can mount my original motor mount onto and it sit on the original lower motor mount perch.
What was your method of mounts?

The Hooker mounts put the engine lower than regular adapter plates. That's a very good thing...If you don't want to use them, there are dozens of alternatives that work the same way (poorly).
