Default E78 for stand alone operation?

I have a L96 engine with an E78 ECM that I want to use together with a TH400.

I am worried that the torque based strategy in this computer will make it very difficult to use it in a swap like this.
I have searched for hours but have not found much information on using the E78 without the 6L80/6L90 transmission...

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that it is a E78? I've never heard of such ECU.

E78 is used on some of the v8 trucks. Not a lot of support. Most people repin and use
E67 or E38 for standalone w/ man trans. Steve
